Reese on JPP, Snee and Thomas injuries

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants are getting healthier.

Jerry Reese told WFAN radio that he expects Jason Pierre-Paul to be ready for the season opener against Dallas.

"JP's on schedule," Reese told WFAN radio on Tuesday morning. "He's looking good, he's running around a little bit. He's going to be out on the field a little more than usual as we move along. We expect him hopefully to be back, ready to go for the [Week 1] Dallas game."

And right guard Chris Snee and cornerback Terrell Thomas have come off the PUP list today and will get some reps in practice.

Also, Hakeem Nicks (groin) said he's ready to return to practice as well. That's encouraging news. Snee wasn't quite ready to start camp after undergoing hip surgery in the offseason. Thomas is attempting his third comeback from a right ACL injury.
