On Thursday, the New Meadowlands CEO Mark Lamping gave a tour of the gleaming stadium, which will open this weekend for a lacrosse tripleheader. The place is nice. Distinctly nicer the more you pay to get in the door, but even the highest seats just seem to have a better view.
I can say that after years of sitting in the Giants Stadium press box, which had the same view as a flight heading to Newark for a landing. I also had really mediocre seats for a Bruce Springsteen concert last fall. There are also four massive screens, with a really sharp picture. It will make a serious debate about whether seeing a game live or on TV is a better. The rest of the story is here.
In other Giants news, Danny Clark is going to be one of the 12 NFL players honored for their community service at the JB Awards. His foundation provides educational resources to families in need.
