Domenick Hixon, who missed all of last season with a torn ACL, says his knee feels good and he’s ready for training camp.
“My knee’s good. I’m ready to go,” said Hixon, who will likely be competing for a return spot. “I’m healthy. I can’t wait until Friday. I’ll be ‘full-go.’
“It's going to be interested the first couple days of camp with the endurance part, just getting back into football, but I've been preparing myself the best I could and I'm excited to test it out.”
Hixon added that his only concern with the knee is endurance and added that is stronger than ever.
Hixon worked out in Ohio during the lockout, but he says it’s great to be back at the Timex Performance Center in East Rutherford, N.J. with his teammates
“It feels like the first day of school. I’m glad to be back. Everybody’s exciting,” Hixon said.
Hixon said about two dozen players showed up on Tuesday afternoon for optional workouts, while others are flying in.
Hixon sounded like he wasn't going to miss two-a-day workouts.
“It gets you mentally and physically ready, so you hate to skip out on it, but if you put in the hard work you get good results,” Hixon said.
