Just want to hit you up with some things that have been swirling on Twitter and elsewhere:
ESPN NFL senior writer John Clayton tweeted that Ahmad Bradshaw may not be that close to re-signing with the Giants.
Clayton initially tweeted that Bradshaw was scheduling a visit with the Cincinnati Bengals but moments later, the Bengals agreed to terms with RB Cedric Benson according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Clayton noted how fast things were moving and changing and tweeted that Bradshaw was no longer visiting the Bengals.
Earlier on Sunday, ProFootballTalk.com reported that the Redskins were interested in Bradshaw. But Schefter reported Sunday afternoon that the Cardinals will trade RB Tim Hightower to the Redskins. So the market appears to be drying up for Bradshaw.
The Giants are trying re-sign Bradshaw, wide receiver Steve Smith and tight end Kevin Boss. None of them can begin practicing until Aug. 4 due to the new transition rules.
Bradshaw has repeatedly said he wants to remain a Giant but it appears he wants more than the Giants are willing to give him. Co-owner John Mara indicated last week that the Giants have a certain price they want Bradshaw back at.

According to Clayton, former longtime Giants center Shaun O’Hara will visit the Miami Dolphins.

With Boss unsigned for now, the Giants are looking at other tight ends. The Giants will be bringing in tight end Ben Patrick according to a source. Patrick had 15 receptions for 123 yards and started seven games last year for Arizona. He has a total of 45 receptions for 446 yards and four touchdowns in four seasons in Arizona.
