Injury report: Koets has knee scoped

Backup center Adam Koets had his troublesome knee scoped according to head coach Tom Coughlin.

Koets has been on the physically unable to perform list since the start of camp and the hope is that this will help him get back on the field soon.

“He wasn’t making a lot of progress so the doctor wanted to go ahead and look at it and see what he could see and help him in some ways,” Coughlin said. “I think Adam really believes that this is going to help and feels a lot better of making progress.”

Koets tore his ACL during the middle of last year.

Left tackle Will Beatty did not practice due to a migraine. And wide receiver Mario Manningham was not at practice due to a personal issue.

Safety Brian Jackson (hip), kicker Lawrence Tynes (quad), quarterback Sage Rosenfels (illness/back), Osi Umenyiora (knee) and wide receiver Ramses Barden (PUP) also did not participate in practice.

Barden did do sprints during practice. Wide receiver Darius Reynaud (hamstring) did return to practice.
