Eagles quarterback Michael Vick (broken ribs) missed practice for a second straight day on Thursday.
The Giants don’t know if he’s going to play. They are preparing as if he will. At the same time, they are making sure to cover all their bases in case he doesn’t.
“I think we are [preparing for Vick],” defensive end Justin Tuck said Thursday. “[We] just learned that he didn’t practice [Thursday] but you can’t count a guy like him out. We are practicing like he is going to play, but we put in some things to get familiar with Vince Young also.”
Defensive coordinator Perry Fewell even went so far as to say the team was preparing for Mike Kafka as well.
Hey, you never know, right?
Also not practicing for the Eagles Thursday were wide receiver Jeremy Maclin (shoulder/hamstring), offensive tackle King Dunlap (concussion) and cornerback Dominique Rogers-Cromartie (ankle).
