Call Antrel Rolle the Patrick Ewing of the New York Giants.
During his weekly spot on WFAN radio, Rolle said again that the Giants will make the playoffs.
"Will we make the playoffs?" Rolle said, when asked by WFAN’s Joe and Evan. "Without a doubt. Without a doubt. We'll be in the postseason."
Rolle also said that after looking back on replays and re-watching the loss to Green Bay, he did not believe Greg Jennings' touchdown in the third quarter was good, since it appeared Jennings was still trying to secure the football when Prince Amukamara knocked it out of his hands in the back of the end zone.
"Absolutely under any means do I think it wasn't a catch," Rolle said. "He never had total possession of the football. He never had total control of the football. But at the end of the day you can't get caught up on calls."
That was just one of many calls the Giants had a gripe with. Rolle, though, is more concerned with the team's mentality going into games. He understands that the Giants have a tendency to turn the emotion switch on and off and he's hoping the switch stays on after the Green Bay loss.
"If we go out there and play with the intensity and emotion that we had this last Sunday, man those teams are in trouble," Rolle said of the remaining four games against Dallas, Washington and the Jets. "Those teams are in trouble."
"I can't help but notice the fight we had as a team," he added. "We fought for a full 60 minutes, which is something that I can’t say we have done all year, to be honest with you. But this team is fighting. We are a very scrappy team and we understand what we need to do and how we need to get there."
