Practice report: Status quo, Osi sighting

All the Giants who did not practice on Wednesday were not practicing during the portion of practice open to the media on Thursday, while the two limited participants from Wednesday were both practicing. Osi Umenyiora actually appeared and was in the stationary bike area during practice. Here's the early practice report:

Safety Kenny Phillips (knee): Phillips was back at practice for the second straight day. He missed Sunday night's game with a sprained MCL but expects to play Sunday.

Defensive end Justin Tuck (toe): Tuck came out late and sat in the bike area with a handful of teammates. He has not practiced this week but previously said he thinks he will play Sunday.

Defensive end Osi Umenyiora (ankle/knee): Umenyiora was riding a stationary bike on Thursday, compared to usually not being in sight during practice. He has not played or practiced since suffering his injuries against New Orleans.

Center David Baas (neck): For the second straight day, Baas stretched with the team but then left to do individual drills off to the side. He has missed the last two games.

Tight end Travis Beckum (chest): Beckum was one of a handful of Giants in the bike area today. He suffered his chest injury Sunday night against Dallas.

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot): As usual, Bradshaw was not practicing today but should be good to return to the field on Friday.

Linebacker Mark Herzlich (ankle): Herzlich was not practicing with the team and has a walking boot on his foot. He has missed the last two games.

Safety Derrick Martin (back): Martin was back in the bike area for the second straight day.

Linebacker Spencer Paysinger (hamstring): Paysinger was practicing on Thursday. He was a limited participant Wednesday and missed Sunday night's game.
