Brodeur hires agent, might test free agency

Will Martin Brodeur play for another NHL team?

The NHL's all-time winningest goalie has hired star agent Pat Brisson as unrestricted free agency beckons Sunday and he remains without a new contract from the New Jersey Devils.

"He will be testing free agency if a deal is not in place by Sunday," Brisson told ESPN.com via email Friday.

Brodeur has played his entire NHL career with the Devils, winning three Stanley Cups. But with the club facing ownership uncertainty, a new deal has not yet been signed with New Jersey.
