The New York Rangers will take on the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL Winter Classic in Philadelphia on Jan. 2, according to a report by The New York Times. The article said that the game is expected to be played at Citizen Bank Park, the home of the Phillies. The NHL schedule has not officially been released yet.
This game will be the fifth Winter Classic, with Buffalo, Chicago, Boston and Pittsburgh previously hosting the game. The article also added that the game will be on Jan. 2 instead of Jan. 1 because the latter date is a Sunday and there will be NFL playoff games.
