The Rangers have signed free agent forward Andre Deveaux, the team announced Tuesday.
Deveaux, 27, has played in 22 career games with the Toronto Maple Leafs from 2008-10. He had one assist and 75 penalty minutes in those 22 minutes.
Last season, Deveaux played in 73 games for the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey Leauge, scoring 23 goals and tallying 23 assists, along with 194 penalty minutes. He notched career-highs in goals, points and shots on goal. He's played 417 games in the AHL, with 75 goals and 89 assists.
Montreal originally selected Deveaux in the sixth round of the 2002 Draft. He's a native of Freeport, Bahamas.
