Devils youngsters Adam Henrique and defenseman Adam Larsson were selected among 12 rookies selected to take part in the league's All-Star weekend later this month in Ottawa.
The Devils were one of five teams in the league without a player in the All-Star Game -- some would suggest veteran Patrik Elias was snubbed -- but Henrique and Larsson will participate in the weekend's skills competition.
After two weeks in the minors at the start of the season, Henrique has been masterful since his recall in October. Centering a line between Zach Parise and Ilya Kovalchuk, the 21-year-old center has tallied 13 goals and recorded 21 assists in 40 games this season.
Larsson, taken fourth overall by the Devils in the draft this June, has two goals and 12 assists in 41 games for New Jersey. Since cracking the Devils' roster out of training camp, the 19-year-old Swedish blue-liner has averaged 21:40 in ice time per game as one of the key members of their back end.
