After tying the series 2-2, the Ottawa Senators return to New York for a pivotal Game 5 on Saturday. Will they be bringing along a new member of the team?
According to the Ottawa Sun's Bruce Garrioch, negotiations are underway to bring in top prospect Jakob Silfverberg to North America to help the club. The 21-year-old winger led his Brynas team to the Swedish Elite League championship Thursday night. Although he has committed to the Swedish national team for the World Championships, Selfverberg would prefer to join the Senators for their playoff run, according to Garrioch.
The former second-round draft pick (39th overall, 2009) had 24 goals and 34 assists in 49 games for Brynas this season.
