The Jets met with one of the top pass rushers in the draft on Tuesday, hosting South Carolina OLB Melvin Ingram at their facility.
Ingram, in an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, also revealed that he was en route to a visit with the Patriots.
The Jets would like to address their pass rush and, according to sources, Ingram is one of the top players on their radar. Problem is, they pick 16th and Ingram likely will be chosen in the top 10. Ingram is a bit undersized at 6-foot-1, 264 pounds, but he's explosive and has the ability to play different positions.
This is a big week for the Jets in terms of pre-draft visits. They also met with Syracuse DE/OLB Chandler Jones and Georgia Tech WR Stephen Hill, both of whom are projected as late first-round/early second-round picks. Notre Dame WR Michael Floyd, who could climb into the top 10, is scheduled to meet Wednesday with the Jets. Ole Miss RT Bobby Massie, a likely second rounder, also is slated to visit.
