Short week, quick practice

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The Jets practiced as the sun quickly set behing the practice facility, a day after a 27-13 win over the Rams broke a three-game losing streak.

Even the players who sustained injuries in the St. Louis game -- Kenrick Ellis (knee), Jeremy Kerley and Bilal Powell -- were on the field for what amounted to a walk-through. Wide receiver Jason Hill was not out with the team, but hasn't been cut.

This is a tight turnaround for the Jets. They have Monday and Tuesday to practice before the Thursday night game. It will mean long days and less time to get creative with the game plan.
