CB Berry inactive for Jets

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The Jets will have some new faces in the secondary on Thursday night. No. 4 CB Aaron Berry, listed as questionable with a quadriceps injury, is inactive for the game.

CBs Donnie Fletcher and Darrin Walls, both of whom were signed from the practice squad, are active. Considering the Jets have only three healthy corners, one of the newbies could be pressed into duty on defense.

The Jets' other inactives are QB Greg McElroy, RB Kahlil Bell, DT Damon Harrison, G Caleb Schlauderaff, G Hayworth Hicks and TE Hayden Smith.

The news from the Patriots is that RT Sebastian Vollmer (back) is inactive. He will be replaced by Marcus Cannon. With G Logan Mankins (calf, ankle) already declared out, the Patriots are down two starters on their offensive line.

Their other inactives are former Jets CB Marquice Cole, OL Markus Zusevics, TE Rob Gronkowski, DE Jake Bequette and DE Chandler Jones.
