Injury report: Hill's status unknown

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- With the Jets' wide receiver ranks thin at best, the knee injury to Stephen Hill is potentially impactful, but coach Rex Ryan said Monday he didn't have an update on the rookie.

"Not sure the extent of that injury just yet, really with all the injuries. Guys are still getting MRIs and things like that," Ryan said.

The bright spot in Ryan's injury report was that he thinks tight end Dustin Keller could be available next Monday night when the Jets travel to Tennessee. Ryan also said WR Clyde Gates (concussion) might be ready to return.

LB Bryan Thomas has a pectoral injury and CB Aaron Berry has a hamstring injury, but Ryan was unable to elaborate on either.

RB/KR Joe McKnight, Ryan revealed, has had three migraine headaches that affected his ability to play. On Sunday, finding out that McKnight was suffering with another led the coaching staff to activate RB Kahlil Bell as an insurance policy. Bell had two snaps and McKnight played one, although he still returned kicks.

"That's why I had to cover us, in essence go with four tailbacks, because of Joe's situation with the migraines," Ryan said.
