FLORHAM PARK, N.J. — Jets wide receiver Stephen Hill will have athroscopic surgery next week on his left knee to repair cartilage damage suffered in the Arizona game on Dec. 2, according to his agent Alan Herman.
Hill was diagnosed by Dr. Frank Cordasco at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He hasn't decided where the scope will be performed. Hill should be able to recover from the surgery in time to participate in the Jets' offseason training program in the spring.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound rookie also sprained his right knee in the second quarter of a 17-10 win over the Jaguars.
He had 21 receptions on 47 targets for 252 yards. He had a key drop in the Jets game at the Patriots this season with little more than two minutes left in the fourth quarter.
