QB Garrard auditions for Jets

New GM John Idzik apparently has adopted the every-rock, every-day mantra of his predecessor, Mike Tannenbaum.

On Thursday, the Jets worked out free-agent QB David Garrard, a source confirmed. The former Jaguars starter, 35, plagued by back and knee injuries, didn't play the last two seasons. He was cut by the Dolphins last preseason after missing time due to arthroscopic knee surgery.

The New York Daily News first reported the workout.
