Injury Report: No Holmes; Aboushi injured

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes (foot) did not practice on Thursday due to a planned day off, according to Jets head coach Rex Ryan.

Offensive lineman Oday Aboushi (knee) was injured during practice and Ryan said the team will not know the extent of the injury until Friday. He was injured in a one-on-one pass rush drill.

"Hopefully it's not that serious," Ryan said.

Linebacker Quinton Coples (ankle) practiced for the second straight day as he returns from surgery on his right ankle following a hairline fracture. Coples is still uncertain about whether he'll play Sunday against Buffalo. He said his ankle feels fine.

"It's totally up to the training staff," Coples said. "Whatever they say I'll be prepared for."

Cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who is battling a hip injury, said he's feeling better. He acknowledged he's essentially been playing on one hip in the first two games.

"Honestly it's probably about the best I've felt in five weeks. Probably since my first day of training camp," Cromartie said. "It's just been a nagging injury, actually finally starting to feel a whole lot better. This is probably as close to 100 percent as I'm going to get. I'm feeling real good right about now."
