Antonio Cromartie active for Jets

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- As expected, cornerback Antonio Cromartie is active for the New York Jets Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cromartie hyperextended a knee Thursday in practice, prompting concern within the organization that it was a serious injury. A few hours later, an MRI exam showed no significant damage. Cromartie didn't practice Friday, but he told teammates that he expected to play. The question is, how effective will he be? He's never missed a game due to injury in three-plus seasons with the Jets.

The Jets' inactive players are QB Brady Quinn, WR Santonio Holmes, CB Dee Milliner, LB Troy Davis, G Will Campbell, T Ben Ijalana and OT Oday Aboushi.

With TE Kellen Winslow serving a suspension, recently acquired Zach Sudfeld is active and will make his Jets debut. Once again, Darrin Walls will start for Milliner.

With the Steelers, the only news is that former starting LT Mike Adams, benched after the last game, is inactive. Their other inactives are QB Landry Jones, WR Markus Wheaton, RB Isaac Redman, LB Chris Carter, C Cody Wallace and DT Hebron Fangupo.

Rookie Le'Veon Bell will start at running back.
