Muhammad Wilkerson, Jace Amaro among Jets' inactives

MINNEAPOLIS -- There are no surprises among the New York Jets' pregame inactives. You already knew defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson (turf toe) and tight end Jace Amaro (concussion) were out Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

The other inactive players are: quarterback Matt Simms, wide receiver Walter Powell, guard Dakota Dozier, guard Wesley Johnson and cornerback Josh Thomas.

Wide receiver Chris Owusu, promoted from the practice squad this week, is expected to see playing time. He will replace Greg Salas, who was placed on injured reserve with a torn hamstring.

For the Vikings (5-7), rookie linebacker Anthony Barr -- listed as doubtful with a knee injury -- is inactive. He will be replaced by Gerald Hodges. The other news, which came down Saturday, is that running back Jerick McKinnon was placed on injured reserve with a lower-back problem. Matt Asiata is slated to replace him in the starting lineup.
