The Texans are out of the Nnamdi Asomugha sweepstakes. As reported by ESPN Insider Adam Schefter, the Texans agreed to a five-year contract with former Bengals CB Johnathan Joseph.
That leaves Jets vs. 49ers for Asomugha's services, and the feeling close to the Jets is that they have an excellent chance. There could be a decision by the end of the night.
UPDATE: The Bucs also have emerged as a serious player. They have a ton of cap room and can offer the most money, but league sources are skeptical that Bucs ownership would spend mega money. The Jets need to be careful they don't bid against themselves.
