Ryan: Don't wear your 'stuff', Cowboys fans

Listen up, Cowboys fans.

If you’re thinking of wearing your jerseys and hats to Sunday night’s season opener against the Jets at MetLife Stadium, Rex Ryan has some advice for you.

“It’s probably not recommended that you wear Cowboys stuff, I would think,” Ryan said Wednesday.

Cowboys fans have generally came out in droves to see Dallas play in East Rutherford, N.J. against the rival Giants.

“I don’t know why they’d be here,” Ryan said. “They’re coming into our stadium.”

The last time the Cowboys and Jets met was at Giants Stadium on Sept. 28, 2003. Dallas beat New York that day, 17-6.

The Cowboys lead the all-time series between the two teams, 7-2. They’ve won the last two meetings and three of the last four.
