Quarterly report: Dividing the P.T.

The Jets hit the quarter pole of the season at 2-2. Here's a breakdown of playing time on offense, based on a percentage of the total snaps (this is unofficial, so allow for a small margin of error):

RUNNING BACKS

Shonn Greene ... 54%

LaDainian Tomlinson ... 50%

John Conner ... 20%

Joe McKnight ... 4%

TIGHT ENDS

Dustin Keller ... 86%

Matt Mulligan ... 32%

Jeff Cumberland ... 19%

WIDE RECEIVERS

Santonio Holmes ... 87%

Plaxico Burress ... 79%

Derrick Mason ... 61%

Patrick Turner ... 10%

Jeremy Kerley ... 7%

Analysis: Greene and Tomlinson are so close because the Jets have been passing so much, and Tomlinson is the third-down/nickel back ... You might see Conner's numbers go up, based on rex Ryan's desire to get back to running the ball ... Surprised that Burress' percentage is so high. I thought they'd ease him in a little more, considering his two-year layoff ... Mason's 61 percent is a reflection of the pass-oriented offense.
