EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- No surprise here: S Brodney Pool (sprained knee) is out for Sunday night's game against the Patriots.
The Jets will dress 10 defensive backs -- all 10 on their roster. Pool's absence will be felt when they go to their sub packages on passing downs.
Their inactives are QB Kevin O'Connell, WR Eron Riley, RB Bilal Powell, TE Shawn Nelson, DT Kenrick Ellis and DT Martin Tevaseu.
As expected, DT Mike DeVito -- out the last two games with a sprained knee -- and RB/KR Joe McKnight (sprained toe) are active.
For the Patriots, the big news is that S Patrick Chung (foot) is inactive. He traveled to New Jersey for the game, fueling speculation he might play. Now it looks like Sergio Brown will start opposite former Jet James Ihedigbo at safety.
OT Nate Solder, added to the injury report Saturday with a concussion, is active.
UPDATE: Rookie Sterling Moore his make his first career start, replacing Chung, according to NBC Sports.
