LT, Kerley not practicing again; Powell back

Jets RB LaDainian Tomlinson and WR Jeremy Kerley stretched with the team, but worked on the side during the early portion of Friday’s practice, and it appears unlikely that either will play on Sunday vs. Buffalo.

Tomlinson and Kerley have not practiced since spraining their knees 12 days ago. They both missed the team’s 17-13 setback last Thursday in Denver.

Tomlinson declared last week that he’d be ready for the Bills game, but has suffered a pair of setbacks in his rehab, the latest coming on Monday.

Kerley told HC Rex Ryan that he’d be able to practice on Friday, but apparently his knee isn’t well enough to do so.

Both did agility drills under the watchful eye of the training staff while their teammates went through individual and team drills.

RB Bilal Powell returned to practice and participated in individual drills after being held out earlier in the week with an illness.

If L.T. can’t play, Powell and Joe McKnight would see snaps behind starter Shonn Greene.

Roster Move: The Jets announced Friday that they signed T Austin Howard from the Ravens’ practice squad.

Howard played four games with Philadelphia in 2010 after being signed as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Iowa.
