ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter joined "Mike & Mike In The Morning" on Wednesday and was asked about the rampant comparisons between the Jeremy Lin and Tim Tebow stories.
"Completely invalid. Tim Tebow was a first-round pick," Schefter told Mike Greenberg. "I think you brought up Kurt Warner. That's exactly it. Kurt Warner came from out of nowhere. Nowhere. ... Basically, he was picked up by the Rams, came in and saved that franchise, saved jobs.
"Jeremy Lin, another undrafted franchise, bounced around the league, cut. And now has come on to become the best story in all of sports."
Has Linsanity gripped Schefter?
"I grew up a Knick fan," he said. "I have tuned out that franchise for 20 years. Irrelevant. Didn't care. [But] I've watched every one of their games the last five games and been captivated."
