J.R. Smith considering Knicks tattoo

NEW YORK -- J.R. Smith already has a Yankees symbol tattooed on his neck. Could a tribute to his new team be next?

"I'm thinking about it," Smith said before the Knicks played New Jersey on Monday night. "It's definitely another part of my career, so definitely have to do something. I'm not sure if it'll be a Knicks symbol or logo or something, but it'll definitely be something to go along with the story."

Smith grew up in New Jersey and played his high school ball at St. Benedict's Prep. If he does decide to add a Knicks symbol to his extensive body art, it won't be the first time that he paid tribute to some part of his life through ink. Smith grew up a big fan of Michael Jordan and tattooed a Jumpman symbol above Jordan's Chicago Bulls No. 23 jersey on stomach.
