With Tyson Chandler out for the second straight night on Friday, Mike D'Antoni was forced to shuffle his starting lineup against Milwaukee.
The coach elected to go with a starting five of Jeremy Lin, Landry Fields, J.R. Smith, Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire against the Bucks, who are without center Andrew Bogut.
On Wednesday in San Antonio, Iman Shumpert started in place of Fields.
D'Antoni has been tinkering with lineups trying to find the right combination to spark a team that has lost its last three.
Chandler's status for Sunday's game against Philadelphia on Sunday is uncertain at this point.
Reserve forward Jared Jeffries is out with a knee injury. He told ESPN New York 1050's Ryan Ruocco and Robin Lundberg that his knee was drained on Thursday and he hopes to be back on Sunday or Monday.
