Mike Woodson has added Jim Todd and Darrell Walker to his coaching staff.
They will replace Dan D'Antoni and Phil Weber, who left the organization when Mike D'Antoni stepped down on Wednesday.
Woodson will also hire longtime mentor Bill Smith as a consultant.
Todd coached with Woodson in Milwaukee and was an assistant under Woodson in Atlanta. He is currently an assistant under Keith Smart in Sacramento.
"He and I have been together for 14 years, we started in Milwaukee together," Woodson said. "Sacramento was nice enough to let him out of his contract."
The Knicks selected Walker in the first round of the 1983 NBA Draft. He played ten seasons in the league and has been coaching since 1995-1996, most recently served as an assistant in Detroit.
"I’ve known him from my playing days," Woodson said of Walker. "I’ve known him ever since I’ve been coahcing. He brings experience. He’s been on benches. He’s been a head coach. JT, Jim Todd, he’s been a head coach for a short period of time. He’s been on numerous benches.
"They bring experience and are guys that I trust and I think can help me get the job done."
