Jeremy Lin took some heat for saying he was 85 percent healthy before sitting out of Game 5 in Miami.
"When I worked out, I was probably going 80-85 percent and I just figured in a week I might be 100 percent," Lin said Wednesday. "I think to get from 85 percent to 100 percent takes more time than I would have thought."
He said on Thursday that he was misunderstood.
"I wasn't 100 percent, meaning I wasn't 100 percent able to play five-on-five. That's my biggest concern right now," said Lin, who last suited up on March 24 and had surgery to repair a small tear in his left meniscus on April 2.
"I still can't jump and touch the rim, I still can't defend. I have yet to play five-on-five or four-on-four. So the next two or three weeks I want to rest ... get my soreness (out of) my knee, get it all out and hopefully I can jump again and move."
After hearing that, do you think he should have played?
