INDIANAPOLIS -- New York Knicks sixth man J.R. Smith is questionable for Game 3 against the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night due to illness, the team said.
Smith has a 102 degree fever, according to coach Mike Woodson.
Woodson said that even if Smith played, he would probably be limited by the illness. Smith did not participate in shootaround on Saturday morning, instead staying in the team's hotel.
In other injury news, Woodson says Amar'e Stoudemire will play on Saturday night for the first time since March 7. Woodson expects Stoudemire to play between 10-12 minutes off the bench against Indiana. Stoudemire had missed the past two months following surgery to clean out debris in his right knee.
