Chris Smith has tattoo of J.R.'s face

There's brotherly love, and then there's Chris and J.R. Smith.

The Smith brothers are extremely close.

The brothers hang out together all of the time.

The latest example of the Smith brothers' close relationship surfaced on Monday when Chris Smith posted a photo of his latest tattoo on Instagram. The tattoo is a picture of J.R. Smith's face with the phrase "always got my back" underneath.

Chris Smith will participate in Knicks training camp undrafted out of Louisville in 2012, Smith played on the Knicks' summer league team last July but underwent patella tendon surgery in October. He also played for the Knicks' summer league team this past summer.

"I can't wait to see him get out there and show what he can do. He's been working so hard to get an opportunity and a chance. I think he'll do a great job," J.R. Smith said last month. "The key to success is to work hard and work smart ... I think he's been doing that."

J.R. Smith is rehabbing from offseason knee surgery. He may not be able to participate in training camp. He is also suspended for five games for violated the league's anti-drug policy. The suspension starts as soon as Smith is healthy enough to play.
