What would you do if you had $14,900 to $22,000 to spend every month?
Well, if you're a couple named MeLa you put down that kind of payment on a luxe penthouse duplex. The New York Post reported today that Carmelo Anthony and his wife, La La Vasquez, have moved into the Hit Factory Condominium, the former recording studio for Stevie Wonder, Mick Jagger, Diana Ross and The Notorious B.I.G. Reps for La La and the condo, located at 421 W. 54th St., between Ninth and 10th avenues, both had "no comment."
On Tuesday night, Anthony and Vasquez, who's been filming "La La's Full Court Life" for VH1, a show chronicling her move to New York, attended the TIME 100 Gala. It was an event honoring the magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People of 2011.
But, of course, Melo couldn't steer away from Knicks questions. He said he was still "recovering" from the team's heartbreaking series loss to the Celtics and made it clear that he stands by Mike D'Antoni, who's been in the hot seat since the sweep.
"I love him,” Anthony said. “I’m a big fan of him. I love him and I support him." Amare Stoudemire has shared the same sentiment about wanting coach and Donnie Walsh back. "Oh, absolutely. Absolutely."
With major support from the franchise's superstars, that's probably all D'Antoni needs to return.
