In a story I wrote yesterday, Knicks combo guard and NBPA vice president Roger Mason Jr. said a few of the league's stars would attend Friday's critical bargaining session in New York City -- he wasn't sure who exactly -- and that Amare Stoudemire could be one of them. Well, this morning STAT's publicist confirmed he will not be there but will be kept in the loop, which Mason Jr. said has been a priority of his Knicks teammate.
"If he's not there then I'll be calling him after the meeting and giving him a recap of exactly what's going on," Mason Jr. said. "He wants a play-by-play. ... He's definitely put some great ideas and concepts on the table. He had been going to the meetings earlier in the process, and he had some ideas that we even circled back to later on in different meetings. He gets his opinion out there."
