Melo and Amare booked for world tour?

Tonight the Knicks would have been hosting their first preseason game, against the Toronto Raptors. Instead, the NBA is still locked out and there's hardly any light at the end of the tunnel -- as of right now.

So with that, Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire have reportedly decided to peace out from the home front for a little while. Both players, according to the New York Post, have signed up for a six-game, four-continent exhibition that would begin next weekend.

In addition to Melo and STAT, 12 other All-Stars have committed contractually for a fee between $100,000 and $1 million. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose are among the league's elite expected to participate.

Cal Darden, an Atlanta businessman, is staging the tour, which is scheduled to begin Oct. 30 in Puerto Rico, followed by two games in London, one in Macau and two back-to-back games in Australia.
