ST. LOUIS -- Catcher Travis d'Arnaud is, in fact, moving closer to minor league rehab games.
D'Arnaud has been catching and swinging a bat at the New York Mets' complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida, as he works back from a sprained left elbow.
D'Arnaud suffered the injury when he reached in to tag Atlanta's A.J. Pierzynski on a play at the plate on June 20 at Turner Field.
Rookie Kevin Plawecki primarily has handled the catching duties in d'Arnaud's absence.
