Game 161: Nationals @ Mets

4:22 p.m.: Mets win, 7-2.

4:03 p.m.: Chris Carter delivers a pinch-hit two-run homer -- his first career long ball as a pinch hitter. Mets 7, Nats 2.

3:51 p.m.: R.A. Dickey enters in relief with the Mets unwilling to use Oliver Perez. Ryota Igarashi may have had an injury issue.

3:47 p.m.: David Wright is buzzed on a high-and-tight fastball from Tyler Clippard. Wright then belts his 29th homer of the season, a three-run shot in the seventh, as the Mets retake the lead, 5-2.

3:33 p.m.: The Nationals tie the score at 2 in the seventh, but Ryota Igarashi strands the bases loaded by striking out Justin Maxwell with a full-count offering. Maxwell had been 3-for-4 in his career with the bases loaded.

2:46 p.m.: Michael Morse homers to left field in the sixth off Raul Valdes as the Nats trim the Mets' lead to 2-1.

2:18 p.m.: Lucas Duda hit a deep homer off the facade of porch in right field in the fourth inning against Yunesky Maya to give the Mets a 2-0 lead.

2:04 p.m.: The Mets take a 1-0 lead in the third when Ruben Tejada scores on a sacrifice fly by Jesus Feliciano.
