On the day the Mets introduced Terry Collins as their 20th manager, a former skipper officially relocated. The Baltimore Orioles announced Willie Randolph is joining Buck Showalter's staff as bench coach.
Randolph spent the past two seasons as the bench coach with the Milwaukee Brewers under Ken Macha, who was fired.
Randolph, 56, did not get an interview for Milwaukee's managerial vacancy. He was 302-253 as Mets skipper from 2005 through his 3 a.m. ET/midnight PT firing in California in 2008.
