New York Mets shortstop Jose Reyes on Sunday notched his third multi-triple game of the season, and seventh of his career.
According to ESPN Stats & Information, three players (Bill Terry for the New York Giants in 1931; Barney McCosky for the Detroit Tigers in 1940; and Carl Crawford for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2004) have had four in a season. Reyes is the 11th player to have exactly three.
Willie Mays and Marky Vaughn (Pittsburgh Pirates, 1930s) lead the career list with 10 multi-triple games each. Crawford has eight to lead active players.
