New York Mets
Carlos Beltran left Sunday night's game in the second inning after fouling a ball off of his right shin. The ball appeared to hit Beltran above his shin guard.
Beltran finished the at-bat, striking out against Tim Hudson. But he walked off the field gingerly and used the dugout railing as a support to get down to the dugout.
He spoke with Terry Collins before exiting the game. He was replaced in right field by Jason Pridie, who began the night as the starting left fielder. Willie Harris replaced Pridie in left.
UPDATE: The Mets announced X-rays were negative and Beltran has a bruised right shin.
