GM Sandy Alderson confirmed that David Wright is expected to play his first rehab game on Friday night for Class A St. Lucie at Lakeland, and if everything goes according to plan, Alderson hopes Wright will be back playing for the Mets on July 22.

Manager Terry Collins has estimated that Wright will need 30 to 40 at-bats before being activated.
As for Ike Davis, Alderson said his 24-year-old first baseman is “some time away.”
“We hope he’ll be back by end of July,” Alderson said. “But realistically, will Ike have an impact between now and the trade deadline? Probably not.”
