Jose Reyes ran from home to first base several times on Sunday morning at Citi Field and also ran along the border where the infield meets the outfield to get used to curves. Reyes will advance to more intense baserunning -- like first to third base -- on Monday in Philadelphia, where he will travel with the Mets.
"Hopefully tomorrow I'm going to put a lot more pressure on the leg and we'll see what happens," Reyes said.
Terry Collins said Reyes will play more than one rehab game, likely later this week, and at a higher level than Brooklyn -- such as Triple-A Buffalo or Double-A Binghamton.
• A day after Jason Isringhausen's ninth-inning meltdown, Collins plans to use Bobby Parnell as closer Sunday. Parnell may close Monday too, as the handoff/2012 grooming continues, but Izzy will still get save opportunities.
Collins added that Pedro Beato is not in the closing mix.
"I think he's getting tired," Collins said.
