Pitching schedule updated

The Mets will play the first of as many as three straight days of intrasquad games Friday, slightly after noon.

Terry Collins said the Mets may not play a formal game Sunday -- the third straight day of planned seven-inning intrasquad games -- if players get worn down by the first two.

The Grapefruit League schedule opens Monday night with Dillon Gee facing the Washington Nationals at Digital Domain Park.

“Right now we’re going to see how the first two days go,” Collins said. “If health’s good, we’ll probably try it again Sunday. If it looks like we’ve got some guys stiff, we may not do much Sunday except do a live pitchers’ batting practice or something.”

Here are the updated pitching assignments for the next week. Robert Carson no longer appears on the list, so we'll have to check on that Friday.
