Another soggy day in Port St. Lucie

Mets pitchers and catchers, including Travis d'Arnaud and Johan Santana, did get some running in outdoors before heavier rain returned Friday.

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Terry Collins hoped delaying the Mets' workout until the afternoon would help the team avoid rain showers Friday, but that did not work out.

The Mets did get outdoors, but were limited in their workload by light showers. Pitchers did get in their scheduled throwing.

Position players were confined to the weight room and hitting in a covered batting cage.
