PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Outfielder Jamie Hoffmann, one of two players dispatched to New York for additional testing after his initial physical was flagged, has returned to camp and is cleared to play.
Hoffmann said his initial physical showed an irregular EKG. He said he had a heart condition 10 years ago that typically is flagged when he switches teams, but which is not alarming. He underwent a stress test in New York.
"I'm alive and the ticker works," he said.
