Friday's Mets-Cards lineups: Opener look?

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- David Wright returns to the lineup Friday. And Terry Collins may be giving a glimpse at his Opening Day configuration, when the Mets face right-hander Edinson Volquez. At the very least, Collins is taking one late look at how Marlon Byrd looks in center field, with Mike Baxter in right.

This is an alternative to using Kirk Nieuwenhuis or Jordany Valdespin in center and Byrd in right field against a righty.

Here are the lineups for the Mets' 12:10 p.m. game against the St. Louis Cardinals at Tradition Field.
