Minors 4.20.12: All teams victorious

LAS VEGAS 10, COLORADO SPRINGS 6: Las Vegas scored three in the first and never looked back. Zach Lutz started the scoring with an RBI single and Jamie Hoffmann brought home two more with a double. After Colorado Springs sliced it to 3-2 in the fifth, Las Vegas added four in the sixth. Juan Centeno singled home a pair of runs and Juan Lagares' double scored two. Colorado Springs once again made it a game by cutting the deficit to 7-6, but Hoffman scored on a wild pitch in the eighth to make it 8-6, and Lutz scored two on a single to put Las Vegas ahead 10-6. Las Vegas starter Chris Schwinden picked up the win with 5 1/3 innings of three-run ball (two earned). Box.

BINGHAMTON 3, NEW HAMPSHIRE 0 : Starter Rafael Montero threw six shutout innings to propel Binghamton to the win. He's now 3-0 with a 1.59 ERA after striking out six and allowing four hits. Binghamton (9-7) took a 1-0 lead in the fifth on Darrell Ceciliani's RBI single, and went up 3-0 in the eighth on Cory Vaughn's Jeffrey Walters recorded his fifth save. Box.

ST. LUCIE 6, FORT MYERS 5: St. Lucie held off a late rally from Fort Myers to pick up the win on Saturday. St. Lucie lead 6-2 entering the ninth, but Fort Myers scored three runs and nearly completed the comeback. St. Lucie trailed 2-1 entering the bottom of the seventh when it exploded for four runs courtesy of a bases-clearing double by T.J. Rivera and a Matt Reynolds RBI. Travis Taijeron added an RBI double in the eighth. Starter Domingo Tapia picked up the win with seven innings of two-run ball, and Hamilton Bennett recorded his second save. Box.

SAVANNAH 6, LAKEWOOD 4 : Savannah scored in every inning from the third to the seventh as it bested Lakewood. With the game tied at 3-3 in the sixth, Jayce Boyd singled to score Cole Frenzel and Chad Zurcher. Lakewood cut it to 5-4 in the bottom of the inning, but Yucary De La Cruz singled home a run in the seventh to put Savannah ahead, 6-4. Starter Rainy Lara gave up 11 hits and four runs in 5 1/3 innings but picked up the win. Bret Mitchell secured his first save. Box.
