lastname Wheeler LAS VEGAS 6, SACRAMENTO 2: Zack Wheeler limited Sacramento to three hits and a walk in six scoreless innings. Wheeler struck out four in a 90-pitch effort. It was his second straight strong start. Wheeler (2-1) was coming off an outing in which he allowed one run in 6 2/3 innings at Reno. His ERA has been shaved to 4.00. Las Vegas built a 6-0 lead, capped by a three-run homer by Collin Cowgill in the seventh against Pedro Figueroa. Justin Hampson surrendered a two-run homer to Josh Horton in the bottom half of that inning. Box

BINGHAMTON 6, HARRISBURG 1: The B-Mets launched a season-high three homers and struck out a season-high 15. Third baseman Josh Rodriguez set the tone early. After Danny Muno worked out his team-leading 21st walk in the first against Harrisburg starter Caleb Clay, Rodriguez homered for a 2-0 lead. Binghamton starter Mark Cohoon flirted with danger in his second start, but came out unscathed. He allowed seven baserunners through his first four innings, but used six strikeouts to escape. He capped his day with two strikeouts in a perfect fifth. Binghamton added to its lead in the sixth against Clay. Alonzo Harris started with a bunt single, stole second and came home on a single by Muno. Richard Lucas capped the inning by blistering a solo homer to left-center, his first long ball of the season. Chase Huchingson took over in the sixth and struck out two in a scoreless inning. The southpaw returned for the seventh, but exited after allowing two singles. Sean Nicol greeted reliever John Church with an RBI groundout, cutting Binghamton’s lead to three. Anthony Rendon singled to bring the tying run to the plate in Jerad Head. But Church struck out Head on three pitches. Binghamton produced two more runs in the eighth against reliever Pat McCoy. Harris launched his fourth homer and Cesar Puello extended his hitting streak to 12 games with an RBI single. Church posted a scoreless eighth inning. Jack Leathersich fanned three in the ninth. Cohoon (3-0) collected his third win and first as a starter in 2013. The southpaw struck out a season-high eight over five scoreless innings. ST. LUCIE 1, DAYTONA 0: Pinch-hitter Matt Reynolds had a walk-off single that scored Aderlin Rodriguez with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. Rehabbing Frank Francisco tossed a 1-2-3 inning with two strikeouts. He combined with starter Domingo Tapia (six innings), Jim Fuller and Chasen Bradford on the three-hit shutout. Hansel Robles (upper back) is due to return from the DL and make his first start since April 21 on Monday. Princeton product Matt Bowman, promoted from Savannah, is then due to start Tuesday. He was 4-0 with a 2.64 ERA in five starts with Savannah. Robert Gsellman will move to Savannah's rotation. Box
